The Community Pantry is a low cost grocery market run by volunteers and open to all community members.

Created with a focus on sustainability and open to everyone in community, this is a cost recovery model in keeping with the non- profit organisation.

We have a partnership arrangement with local St Vincent de Paul society in regards to the provision of emergency relief and are looking at starting a mobile food bank to support remote and rural communities.

Current Community Pantry membership must be held to have access into Community Pantry. Membership costs $3.00 per person for 12 months from date of payment. Right of refusal of entry can be made if your membership is not current. Membership costs MRNC to ensure Community Pantry can continue to cover rent and power costs.

Some items purchased will be close to/or past best before dates. Best before dates are used to inform of the freshness of the product. Generally, in Australia, pantry food items are ok for consumption up to 6 months after the best before date. By agreeing to membership to Community Pantry Evans Head you have signed acknowledgement of condition

Community Pantry is run by MRNC Volunteers. MRNC does not tolerate abusive behaviour, yelling or intimidation. MRNC staff and volunteers have the right to refuse entry if you are abusive in any way.
