Accidents and injury

Whilst participating in Youth Service Groups all care to prevent accidents will be undertaken by staff, however in the event of an injury, first aid will be applied as required and an Ambulance called if deemed necessary, all staff members are trained in First Aid.

All attempts to contact parents will be attempted. For all injuries it is the responsibility of the parent to take their child to seek medical assistance at either the hospital or with their own GP.
Parents may elect to call an ambulance if the parent is concerned that the injury is an emergency or if delay could affect the outcome for the child, for example choking, seizures, burns or scalds.

Following any injury or incident our Youth Service Staff will fill out the injury/incident form, which will be forwarded to the manager for due process.
