Brighter Futures
The Brighter Futures (CONC) Program is administrated by CONC via its Lead Agency – Mid-Richmond Neighbourhood Centre based at Evans Head. The program is funded by Family and Community Services NSW.
The Brighter Futures Program, has 20 Family Development Workers (FDW’s) based from Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre, Mullumbimby Neighbourhood Centre, Ballina Office, Mid Richmond Neighbourhood Centre (Evans Head), Nimbin Neighbourhood Centre, Lismore Office and Grafton New School of Arts The Brighter Futures Program is a voluntary, targeted Early Intervention, intensive case management program that delivers services to families with children under 9 years of age, or who is expecting a child or where the child/ren are at HIGH RISK of entering, escalating or are currently involved with the statutory Child Protection System. The Brighter Futures Program is unique to our region, as the program is embedded within a grassroots, community focused and inclusionary community focused Neighbourhood Centre outlet model, where clients have access to wrap around services. The services range from specialist DFV services such as Staying Home Leaving Violence, Child and Family teams, youth services and community assistance programs (Emergency Relief), just to name a few. To be eligible for the program, families are identified as having at least one of the following vulnerabilities:-

Families eligible for Brighter Futures will require on average 12 months intensive case management, delivering coordinated services and support to meet individual and collective needs within the family |
